About Me -
My name is Abigail. In May 2020, I graduated Summa cum Laude from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, a minor in Marketing, and a minor in Environmental Studies. After graduation I joined my husband in Charleston, South Carolina for a few months, before we moved per his orders to San Diego, CA where we have lived the past year. I am now moving back to the St. Louis area while he is away for his work. I hope to enter the professional design field in St. Louis and expand my knowledge.

After I graduated from college, I moved to Charleston, South Carolina to join my then boyfriend who is in the military. It was still very restricted due to the pandemic so I spent my time in Charleston doing planning work on a few projects for family and friends. I also decided to take some time to start learning Spanish. We moved to San Diego, California in March of 2021 and have spent the last few months familiarizing ourselves with the area. I spend most of my free time either working on my artistic skills, spending time with my husband and our cat, talking to my family and friends over Skype, or reading. I also love to attend theatrical shows, movies, laser tag games, concerts, and outdoor events.
I hope to be able to work in a design firm or professional materials showroom that has a friendly and helpful culture and will allow me to expand my knowledge in my areas of interest. I am interested in both in person and online positions. However, if I can find a job that allows for online work or that has an office in San Diego, that would be preferable because it would mean I could continue to work with the same company when I make the move back.
The projects I have worked on that I most enjoyed were related to hospitality design, but I also love corporate, education, and some residential design too. I am always looking to learn something new and am excited to see what comes my way in the next few years.

- Along with my scholarship from the University, I completed volunteer hours every semester.
- I volunteered in various places including local events in my hometown, organizations in Carbondale such as the Women's Shelter and Habitat for Humanity, events at the university for outreach and the community, and cleaning up roadside trash in Carbondale.
